Maxine the Sculptor Maxine Stibbe, Sculptor

On the first day of university, I noticed sitting diagonally from me a very punky, very spunky, very colourful looking young lady called Kim (or Kimmoi as I call her now). She was making ceramic sculptures in the shape of children's boiled lollies but made from letters of the alphabet.

At our mid semester exhibition I ran into a friend and fellow artist Steven Bowerman, who was accompanying Kim. I figured she must share similar passions and proceded to befriend her.

From galleries to electronica-art parties, from DJing to misbehaving, from the islands to the city, this new friend I will be saving. I have seen her operate on sculptures and her hands are skilled like a doctors.
